A walking group covering walks of between 6 and 10 miles, some hills but also flatter walks. For those looking for something more strenuous than the Gentle Rambling group.

- July - New Luce and the Caves of Kilhern circular. A very select group of walkers braved the weather to complete the Caves of Kilhern walk in July, a walk across moorland and a little different from the more usual Machars terrain.
- June - Section 13 Whithorn Way, Isle of Whithorn
- May - Water of Minnoch (including White Cairn chambered cairn, and Roman Bridge)
- April - Cairnsmore of Fleet. Climbing in great weather with fantastic views over the Wigtown Bay, Newton Stewart, Creetown and across the moors of the Machars. We summitted in cloud and after lunch had a steady descent.
