In August the Gardening Group visited Jacqui and Ian's new eco house in Whauphill for a tour of the garden and a bring-and-share lunch.  It took around six months in 2021 to build the house, which has a ground source heat pump, underfloor heating, solar panels, and a lot of insulation.  The garden was created out of a field, with raised beds for vegetables.  Fruit trees, flowers and shrubs were planted in 2023, plus an area of meadow flowers at the side of the house. There are plans for further flower beds next year.   The bring-and-share lunch was very successful, and the group agreed to repeat this at a future date.
