Barry had worked in horticulture for 45 years. In 1973 he was appointed Garden Supervisor at Logan Botanic Garden and took over as Curator in 1987 and retired in 2007. His amazing garden was a mixture of trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, bulbs and half hardy perennials. Consequently, the form, colour, textures and scents were magnificent as you meandered around his garden. Due to being totally absorbed in it all I forgot to take photos, but have included the ones Barry sent out to me.
£205 was raised for Christian Aid from plant, fruit and jam sales along with donations towards the mouthwatering tray bakes.
