In November the Gardening Group visited the Cree Valley Tree Nursery along the Wood of Cree road between Minnigaff and Glentrool, on the site of the original Barclye farm.  It was quite an uphill trek, but well worth visiting on a sunny day with splendid views. The nursery was set up with lottery funding, and is run by volunteers.  Our guides showed us a wide variety of saplings at various stages of growth, which will be used to regenerate local woodlands.
