New for 2026, a group based loosely on the long-running BBC radio programme. Each month a nominated member will pick a number of pieces of music they like and tell the rest of the group why they chose it. We could also pick a book to take.
Please let Simon know if you are interested.
Next meeting
The next meeting will be on 20th November at the Festival shop at 26 South Main Street in Wigtown.
The first meeting of the Desert island discs group was held in October. Seven members enjoyed hearing choices of Simon the Facilitator of the group. Six pieces of music including Nelly the Elephant and the theme from Dad's Army.
More members are welcome.
The format is the same as the radio program - choosing 6 pieces of music with an explanation why you chose it and what it means to you. Should be good fun.
