Our sessions are relaxed and full of laughter!
For those with some knowledge of Spanish.
Because we have some beginners, we are revisiting previous topics but those with more knowledge can expand each theme appropriately.
We follow our usual mix of reading formal articles and preparing our own work to share with the group, agreeing topics as we go.

Previous meetings
- February 2025 - discussing an article about Greenpeace and town traffic
- August - 'Los Deportes' (chosen because of some football event and then the Olympics)
- July - places here which we would recommend to tourists and why
- June - technology in our everyday lives
- May - 'La gastronomia' and 'la salud de los trabajadores en el royaume uni.'
- April - members' backgrounds; geographical, economical, biographical
- March - holidays and tourism.
- February 2024 - how life has changed for us and what it might be like for our children and grandchildren; the state of the world
- November - first home, first school, first job, favourite relative
- October - In our last session we discussed 'painters'- quite a contrast with our previous theme of 'football'. We still use a mixture of French, the odd bit of Italian and - of course - English but we are finding we have the confidence to guess words more and are frequently correct.
- Topics have included Instrumentos musicales, Piedras Misteriosas, Las Ferias, El Medio Ambiente, and Jardines.
