Whether you are a complete novice, have a general interest, or have been practising astronomy for years, we try to cater for all tastes. We have a mixture of discussions, talks from local experts, and recorded presentations, and occasionally get out for some practical observing, weather and time of year permitting.

October 2024 - James Clerk Maxwell
Many thanks to Stuart for organising October's astronomy group session with a terrific evening about local genius James Clerk Maxwell. It combined a BBC documentary with a Q&A session (and explanation of Maxwell's equations) by David Sumner. Maxwell has been described as Scotland's Einstein - but in truth, Einstein is Germany's James Clerk Maxwell!
